Freixenet is an outstanding 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding by Fabriano out of a Maat/Derneburg mare. This beautiful, sweet and personable boy has a charisma that attracts attention wherever he goes. He has had one owner since being imported from Germany as a coming 4-year-old.

He is a spectacular boy, showing exceptional elasticity and adjustability in all gaits. His walk is excellent and maintains its correctness in collection. His trot is very rhythmic and lofty with his lateral movement retaining the same. His canter is bounding and ground covering, yet he has a great ability to significantly shorten his stride and remain in the same energy and rhythm.

Freixenet does tempis through the ones and can even do twos on circles! He easily lowers his croup, maintaining the rhythm and jump of the canter, in the pirouettes. He schools the half steps and some piaffe showing a very good ability to bend his joints with nice articulation. We have begun schooling the passage and it has been easy for him. He routinely works in a snaffle, always remaining soft and elastic in the hand.

Freixenet has been shown extensively through Prix St Georges and is more than ready to show Intermediare-1. With a knowledgeable rider, Freixenet should easily be ready for Grand Prix before the end of the year.

An extensive pre-sale, pre-purchase exam has been completed in preparation for marketing Freixenet. The results are very good showing him to be healthy and sound.
