Adirondak Trailways Brings Tour Groups to HITS-on-the-Hudson

Saugerties, NY - July 23, 2005 - Horse Shows In The Sun, Inc. (HITS) is proud to announce that Adirondack Trailways has named its world-class equestrian facility, HITS-on-the-Hudson, as a destination site for Trailways' Seasonal Travel Ideas 2005. Adirondack Trailways will provide bus service from New York City, Ridgewood, New Jersey, New Paltz, Rosendale and Kingston to the HITS-on-the-Hudson show grounds in Saugerties, New York during each weekend of the summer circuit.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors from as far away as New York City to HITS-on-the-Hudson. This partnership provides a unique tourist attraction for Adirondack Trailways, and a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce our sport to a wider audience."

Visitors will enjoy top-level show jumping action with some of the nation's best riders, in addition to a number of special events. The first group will be welcomed this weekend, and their visit will coincide with "Taste Of" HITS-on-the-Hudson, Saturday, July 23. This annual event invites show goers to sample some signature dishes prepared by an eclectic mix of the Hudson Valley's finest restaurants. On Sunday, the $75,000 RV Sales of Broward Grand Prix will delight the crowds. Sure to be an exciting competition, a number of top show jumping stars including, Margie Goldstein Engle, Laura Chapot, Nona Garson, Candice King, Todd Minikus, and McLain Ward will battle it out in the Grand Prix arena for the grand prize.

Kids Day - Saturday, July 30
A day full of family fun and entertainment including pony rides, face painting and much more!

"World of the Horse" - Saturday, August 6
An exhibition of numerous breeds and styles of riding sure to delight all horse lovers.

Seniors Day - Saturday, September 3
Seniors are our guests on this day and are admitted at no charge. We will be featuring booths with information and activities geared toward health, well-being and entertainment.
