200-day countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

"The 200-day Countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games" show will be held at Ocean Park tomorrow (January 20) to greet the upcoming Beijing Games and the staging of the Olympic equestrian events in Hong Kong. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will officiate at a ceremony to launch the show.

The countdown show, to run between 11am and noon, is jointly organised by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and produced by Television Broadcasts Limited.

To tie in with the show, Ocean Park will also organise its annual "Ocean Park Conservation Day" this Sunday to appeal to people to protect the environment.

You are invited to cover the ceremony of the show.  There will be fixed press positions inside the venue.  Media representatives are advised to assemble at the Tai Shue Wan entrance of Ocean Park around 10.15am for registration and to bring along telephoto lenses, wide-angle lenses and ladders.
