Nationality: Dominican Republic (+ Canadian Passport) With the 2007 Individual Bronze Medal from this year’s Pan American Games added to her collection, Yvonne Losos de Muniz has made it clear that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the international dressage arena. It was the second consecutive Pan American Games medal for the Dominican rider, who also took the Bronze in the 2003 Games. Born in Nigeria, Africa, Yvonne moved to Canada when she was fourteen. It was in 1990 that she moved to the Dominican Republic, where she has remained ever since. With her husband, Eduardo, Yvonne has played a key role in the development of dressage in the Dominican Republic, and she represents the Caribbean nation in international competition. The couple owns a private training facility named Las Marismas in their home country, which caters to dedicated jumper and dressage riders from island’s capital, Santo Domingo.
